You can use Spotlox without an account. Browsing, searching and booking links all work without signing in.
Optional sign-in
If you choose to sign in, we use Google sign-in with Supabase (our login and database provider). From Google we store only your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to show that you're signed in and for the optional features below.
Ratings and the Spotlox community
Signed-in users may rate trainers. A rating (stars, an optional comment and the trainer it's about) is stored with your account's name and email address. Every rating is reviewed by Spotlox before anything is published; if published, we show only your first name, the stars and your comment, never your email. Signed-in users may also join the free Spotlox community; we store your name and email address as a member; we won't send you marketing email without asking first.
Cookies and your session
Your sign-in session is kept in a cookie that is shared across Spotlox sites on spotlox.ca (for example spotlox.ca and soccer.spotlox.ca), so you stay signed in when you switch sports. It lasts up to a year unless you sign out. Signing out on any Spotlox site removes it from your browser for all Spotlox sites.
Trainer profiles and listings
Trainers, clubs, studios and academies can sign in with Google on our trainer page to list their own sessions. If you do, we store:
- your Google account name and email address (as for any sign-in);
- the provider profile you enter: business or trainer name, website, public email, phone, Instagram handle and sports;
- your listings: title, type, area, location and map pin, price, dates, ages, level, image and booking link, plus their status (draft, in review, live, paused, ended or changes needed);
- verification requests: the method you pick, the public contact it is checked against and the code we give you;
- Spotlox's review decisions and any reason we give you.
Only approved listings are public. For those we show the listing details, price, dates, image, booking link and your business or trainer name. Your Google email, profile phone and email, drafts, paused or rejected listings, verification codes and review notes are not shown on Spotlox. To verify a profile we may look at your public website or Instagram for the code you posted.
This data is stored with Supabase, our login and database provider, in its Canada (Central) region, together with any listing images you upload. You can edit, pause or delete your listings at any time on the trainer page. To delete your provider profile or account data, email us at the address below.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data and we don't share it with advertisers. Booking and payment happen on each trainer's own site, under their privacy policy.
Deleting your data or asking questions
